Nonceba Crèche; was started in May 2006 to provide day care for 26 children and has rapidly made a big impact upon the local community.  Such is the demand that there are now three teachers and 40 children (with more on the waiting list!). They are clothed and fed (with donations received from churches and other sources)  and are also given counselling.  In addition to delivering the educational curriculum through play and other activities, the children are encouraged to experience God through times of prayer and the singing of spiritual songs.

We now have an urgent need to find a suitable larger venue and increase the staffing to meet the increasing demand.

 

The crèche operates Monday to Friday from  8am until 4pm, with a typical day including opportunities for free play, creative activities, structured learning and quiet time. 

All children are offered breakfast and a full meal each day, which may comprise Samp and beans, African salad, meat, vegetables and pap, or rice.
